Sri Krishnadevaraya Institute of Management is a pioneering institution in the field of management education and research with its distinguished faculty, infrastructure and equipment. The institute has created its niche in the employment market in India and abroad for decades now. Its alumni are found in top positions of management in diverse organizations worldwide unfurling the SKIM flag.

Sri Krishnadevaraya Institute of Management (SKIM) has been rendering yeomen service to the business world since its inception in 1981.  With liberal funds of Rs 1.30 crores in 1987 by the UGC, Government of India under New Education Policy, the institute equipped itself with an exclusive academic building, a student hostel and 14 staff residential quarters within the close vicinity. The institute was established to bridge the gap between corporate and academics. Over past three decades, SKIM has been generating highly successful managers and entrepreneurs. Today it is one of the distinguished premier business schools in India.  The institute has developed strong faculty resources in the prime areas of Human Resource, Finance and Marketing Management in teaching, research and consultancy. SKIM was adjudged as top ranked management school in 2007 by the Business India survey. It has made a mark in the world of management by producing quality students who are found working today in diverse global organizations.  With its fine infrastructure, able faculty and salubrious atmosphere, SKIM is poised for bigger strides in management education. The institute adopts an open system in training and development of students’ personality, which is essential for managerial positions. The teaching methods adopted are a judicious mix of classroom sessions, field visits, role plays, simulation games, business games and case studies. The communication laboratory provides a forum for every student to share thoughts, ideas and work for the all-round development. Daily activities include Group discussions, Debates, Role-plays, Business Games, Quizzes etc.

Research Facilities & Major Equipment:

            SKIM encourages and promotes Contemporary Research in Management to strengthen conceptual base as well as Industry inputs. The following facilities and equipment support Teaching-Learning and Research.

  • An exclusive library equipped with around 6000 Reference books and 270 Journals
  • Internet facility through LAN and wi-fi is available round the clock to all
  • A communication lab enables Group discussions and other interactive exercises which are essential part of management education
  • A computer laboratory with a capacity of 60 plus systems is open to the students and the scholars.
  • Each class room is equipped with a LCD Projector to enable E-LEARNING.

Students Progressions:

PASS PERENTAGES, GRADES, ASSIGNMENTS, GROUP DISCUSSIONS, FEEDBACK are regular activities to ensure students progressions. Summer & Permanent placements vouch to this fact. Students are taken for Industrial Visits for Industry exposure and interaction during throughout IV semesters. SKIM students are expected to spend at least 10 – 12 hours in regular class work and further assignments.  Students are also encouraged to take part in Sports & Games. Many students made their mark in University Sports & Games and extra-curricular activities
